In March, 2017, I spent four days wandering the landscape of the Alabama Hills, an area in California's Owens Valley, east of the Sierra Nevada Range. Throughout these four days, I found myself fascinated with the geological formations in this area. The rounded, weathered boulders, metallic mineral deposits, lichen, and natural arches all appeared to be delicately placed by some divine hand.
Please enjoy this collection of images I have produced from my time in the Alabama Hills. Each image was created on large format 4x5 Fuji transparency film and scanned digitally. The series will be available as a limited edition, boxed portfolio of prints that will be available for preorder below. These 15 images will be printed 8x10" to archival standards on cotton rag paper, hand signed and numbered and will include a certificate of authenticity.
If you are interested in individual prints, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I am also hosting a large format workshop in this location. If you are a photographer and would like to try your hand at large format, build your technique, or see the Alabama Hills through my eyes, feel free to join us this October.
