The silver gelatin printing process is a true photographic print process, and is most widely known and used in modern times. The process was introduced in 1871 and was the major replacement of the collodion process, and allowed printing material to be kept and stored for much longer periods of time. Michael's handmade silver gelatin prints are printed on fiber-based warm tone paper, selenium toned, and are stable for centuries, making them highly collectible and sought after. Each print is exposed in the darkroom from film negatives, which had been exposed on Michael's medium and large format cameras. No print is exactly alike, as each are handcrafted shortly after purchase and cannot be replicated 100%. This means your prints will each have an individual quality and each are truly unique. Because each print is painstakingly handmade, each silver gelatin print in this category will be limited to 4 sizes, with 5 prints available in each size and prices will increase as each subsequent edition is sold.
