This image was created several years ago on my first trip to Death Valley with my 4x5 in early 2015. Conditions on that trip were not ideal and I was relatively new to large format at the time, so I decided to find a textural composition of the valley and leave the shutter open for about 15 minutes. What you see is the result of the colors changing from sunset to twilight over the course of the exposure.
