Geology fascinates me. It’s become so meaningful to me the past few years as I’ve been studying it further. I study it not only out of curiosity, but to further my knowledge as to what exactly I am photographing. From glacial moraines, to faults in the Grand Canyon, somehow each of my photographs seems to include some interesting geological formation, such as this image. There aren’t too many places to see the wonders geology than in Death Valley, where the earth is literally sinking beneath your feet. These erosional streaking patterns were so interesting to me, and their glow at twilight grabbed me one morning while at a popular viewpoint in the park.
